Excellence Network Project Grant 2024

Small and large grant schemes are now available. The Excellence Network project grant scheme funds projects that will improve statutory health or care services for people with Parkinson's and their loved ones. 

The deadline to submit expressions of interest online is Friday 19th April at 5pm. 

Drop-in support sessions are being held online on the 4th and 9th April.

World Parkinson's Day

Are you ready to Make It Blue on 11th April?

There are many events happening in the Nrth East in the week around World Parkinson's Day. From a sponsored walk, to yoga, seated exercise, a coffee morning and more. Not to mention at least 20 buildings, bridges and monuments will be lit up blue for the day.

Welcome Sessions for people newly diagnosed with Parkinson's

Parkinson's UK is now offering online sessions for people affected by a recent diagnosis of Parkinson's. The 1.5hr online session is entitled "Your Parkinson's diagnosis, sharing and preparing" and can help people come to terms with their diagnosis, and find out what support is available.

Quayside Walk Returns for 2024

We're delighted to annouce that this year's Quayside Walk will be held on Saturday 31st August. Hopefully we'll have blue skies and warm weather for this annual fundraising walk. Starting at Gateshead Quays, choose from 2 miles or 5 miles and help us find a cure for Parkinson's.

Redcar Walk for World Parkinson's Day

The Redcar Walk is organised each year by our Redcar and District Support Group, and this year it takes place on Sunday 14th April. Walk along the lovely Redcar seafront of this flat, out-and-back route, allowing you to walk as far or as short as you want.
